This series began with a gift from Maggie's partner's father, who collects and sells old tools. She decided she wanted to create art you can hold in your hand. After scrubbing off all the rust, and applying two coats of oil ground, she started painting. The tools themselves guided her brush. Then a global pandemic hit, and the process of working on this series became more introspective, searching. Thus the title, "Spirit Tools." You can feel the energy of so many hands in each piece.
